Town of Wheaton Notice

THE INTERSECTION RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT HAS STARTED.

The 40th St and 30th Ave intersection work has begun. It will take 6 to 8 weeks for construction of the road. Asphalting can then begin. This work consists of lowering the intersection to provide motorists a much improved sight line in all directions at the site.

Additionally, 40th St. will be ground, widened and paved from 20th Ave to HWY 29.

All traffic on 40th St and 30th Ave. within 1 mile of the intersection will be re-routed until the paving is ready.

Only local traffic will be allowed to nces. Vehicles will not be able to get through the intersection.

Emergency services have been notified of the closure. Properties affected by this closure may have a slight increase in the length of response time to an incident. All residences affected will remain accessible at all times, but an alternate route will be used.

Please avoid this area during the construction. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to having a much improved and safer intersection this fall.
