New Dog Catcher Needed: The Town of Wheaton has a Dog Catcher position opening.   Dog Catcher Position Responsibilities On call for dog related issues.   Address dog related issues. Cages, leashes, and gloves will be provided. Dog catcher is NOT responsible for other animal issues. Must provide contact phone number to be posted on the town website.  Township email address will be provided.   If you are interested in this position please contact the Acting Town Chair or any Town Board Supervisor for consideration.  Appointment will be made at the next Town Board meeting on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 7PM. PLEASE NOTE:  Current dog catcher Kari will continue to handle dog catcher responsibilities during this transition period.  Thank you Kari!!

Tornado Cleanup Personal Items Recovered Pickup – NOVEMBER 25, 2019 Starting at 5:30PM at Wheaton Fire Station

Pickup time has been set for Monday November 25, 2019 starting at 5:30PM at Wheaton Fire Station.

TORNADO CLEANUP PERSONAL ITEMS RECOVERED CLAIM PROCESS

  1. View personal item pictures at Wheaton Tornado Lost Items to determine if you are the owner.  For higher value items only a portion of the picture will viewable.  You will have to identify the missing part during claim process.
  2. Go to Wheaton Fire Station during posted pickup times and speak with Lost Items representative about claiming your lost personal items.
  3. As part of the claim process you will need to provide identification which will be recorded.
  4. If you think you will come and try to steal these items please know we are working closely with Chippewa County Sheriff Department!
