Well Sampling Project (Nitrates)

Alice Droske, Wheaton Town Supervisor, will be at the Wheaton Town Hall on Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 9:00AM until 1:00 PM with Water Testing Kits available for purchase from the Chippewa Co. Dept. of Land Conservation and Forest Management. 

 

As part of this well sampling project, the Chippewa Co. Dept. of Land Conservation and Forest Management has made arrangements with the Colfax Testing Lab to test your well for Nitrate-Nitrogen (NO3-N), a good indicator of water quality. There will be an $8.00 fee payable by you that day for the Nitrate testing.  If you wish to have other testing done by the lab, the costs of that testing must be paid by you.  Water testing kits will not be issued to you unless the $8.00 fee is received in full. 

 

Please send your water sample to the Colfax Lab by August 6, 2021 to be included in this well sampling project. 

 

Please bring the exact cash amount ($8.00) with you as change will not be available.  You may also pay by check if preferred. Please make your check out to “Chippewa County Treasurer” in the amount of $8.00.
