New Dog Catcher Needed: The Town of Wheaton has a Dog Catcher position opening.   Dog Catcher Position Responsibilities On call for dog related issues.   Address dog related issues. Cages, leashes, and gloves will be provided. Dog catcher is NOT responsible for other animal issues. Must provide contact phone number to be posted on the town website.  Township email address will be provided.   If you are interested in this position please contact the Acting Town Chair or any Town Board Supervisor for consideration.  Appointment will be made at the next Town Board meeting on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 7PM. PLEASE NOTE:  Current dog catcher Kari will continue to handle dog catcher responsibilities during this transition period.  Thank you Kari!!

CHAPTER 16 DOG CONTROL ORDINANCE

 

On August 19, 2024 the Wheaton Town Board adopted the Chapter 16 Dog Control ordinance with the recommended updates.  The dog control ordinance is an existing ordinance that was being updated from 2019.
