UPCOMING TOWN OF WHEATON ELECTIONS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Spring Election for the Town of Wheaton will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 7:00am to 8:00pm, the following officers are to be elected:

A TOWN CHAIR, for a term of two years to succeed the term of Vacant, which will expire on the 15th day of April, 2025.

A TOWN SUPERVISOR, for a term of two years to succeed the term of Ken Books, which will expire on the 15th day of April, 2025.

A TOWN SUPERVISOR, for a term of two years to succeed the term of Carolyn Kaiser, which will expire on the 15th day of April, 2025.

A TOWN CLERK, for a term of two years to succeed the term of Scott Deutscher, which will expire on the 15th day of April, 2025.

A TOWN TREASURER, for a term of two years to succeed the term of Jan Dole, which will expire on the 15th day of April, 2025.

 

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that if a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

CANDIDACY PAPERWORK

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the first day to circulate nomination papers is December 1, 2024, and the final day for filing nomination papers is 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.  Contact the Town Clerk for nomination papers, or obtain them from the following website:  https://elections.wi.gov/forms.  You will need EL-169, Nomination Papers, EL-162 Declaration of Candidacy (properly notarized), filled out and returned.  Check state statutes for requirements if there is financing of your campaign.  A minimum of 20 and maximum of 100 qualified electors must sign the nomination papers with legible writing.  Please read the instructions with that form.

The Town of Wheaton has just 1 poll location which is located at:

Wheaton Town Hall

4975 County Highway T

Chippewa Falls, WI  54729

POLL HOURS

Vote in Person on Election Days from 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM CST

Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote.  If you do not have a photo ID you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.
