Road Replacement
Town of Wheaton, Chippewa County

Notice is hereby given by the Town of Wheaton (the Owner), Chippewa County, Wisconsin will receive sealed bids for Road Replacement as listed in this request until 7:00 PM local time on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, in the Town Hall located at:

Chippewa Falls, WI 54729

At that time all bids will be opened and read aloud.

Sealed bids for the projects designated below will be received for and on behalf of the Town of Wheaton at the location listed above on or before that time and date.

Acceptance and/or rejection of the bids will be conducted at the meeting of the Town Board on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 6:00 PM. Sealed bids must be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope:  Town of Wheaton, Road Replacement Bid, Attn: Scott Deutscher, Town Clerk.

Bids will be accepted for addition of 3” of base course, pulverizing and paving of the town roads, shouldering work as listed on the Bid Form. See project description and specifications for details.  Projects will include 20th Ave from 40th St to 50th St including intersection on 50th St; 50th Ave from Cty T to 50th St; 102 St.

NOTE: The following are LRIP roads. Work may occur in 2024 or 2025 depending on final Project State Municipal Agreement approvals with funding year determined: 34th St – beginning point 60th Ave ending point 62 Ave; 62 Ave – beginning at 34 St ending pont 35th St ; 35th St – beginning point 62nd Ave ending point CTH N

Unit price bid will be required for this project. Specific items and quantities can be found in the bid documents.

Documents will be ready on Monday, March 18, 2024. Bids shall be on the forms provided by the Town of Wheaton. All road work must be completed by September 3, 2024.

The Town of Wheaton reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 30 days after the date of the bid award.
