The Wheaton Fire Commission has one position up for appointment.
Currently the position is held by Mark Brunner. The current commissioner may request re-appointment. The position will serve a term through April 2027.
Fire Commission Member Responsibilities
- Attend Fire Commission meetings as scheduled
- Handles some Wheaton Fire & Rescue personnel matters along with escalated personnel issues
- Assist with and review Wheaton Fire & Rescue job descriptions
- Handles appointment of the Fire Chief
- Assist with and review Wheaton Fire & Rescue SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
